In a remarkable act of compassion and leadership, Sir Chris Davies, the esteemed head coach of Birmingham City FC, has invested $5.6 million to convert a large residential property in Miami, Florida into a fully equipped shelter for homeless youth. The facility, which will be named The Horizon House, is designed to provide safety, support, and long-term opportunities for vulnerable young people facing life on the streets.

Speaking at a press event, Sir Chris emphasized that his commitment goes beyond football. “Every young person deserves a safe place to sleep, a warm meal, and the chance to dream big. This project is about restoring dignity and providing a path forward.”

 

The shelter will include temporary housing, educational support, mental health services, and job placement programs. Construction and renovations are already underway, with doors expected to open by early 2026. Community leaders in Miami have praised the move, calling it “a turning point for youth advocacy in the region.”
