Wigan Warriors full-back Jai Field has signed a new three-year contract, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027 season. The Australian speedster, who joined Wigan in 2021, has become a fan favourite with his explosive attacking play and game-changing performances. Field’s commitment is a major boost for the Warriors as they continue their push for domestic and international honours.
The 26-year-old recently returned to action after undergoing surgery for a serious abdominal injury that sidelined him earlier this season. Reflecting on his recovery and new deal, Field said, “I’m grateful to still be here. The club, staff and fans have been incredibly supportive during a tough time. I’m excited to be back fit and to contribute to the team again.”
Since arriving from Parramatta Eels, Field has been a key figure in Wigan’s recent successes, including their 2022 Challenge Cup victory and 2023 Super League Grand Final triumph. His pace and creativity have made him one of the most dangerous players in the league.
Head coach Matt Peet praised Field’s commitment, saying, “Jai represents everything we value—hard work, resilience and excitement. We’re thrilled he’s staying with us.”
