We canceled our cruise second before boarding thigs went very wrong when boarding.. Read more..

We had been looking forward to this cruise for months—bags packed, itinerary planned, excitement through the roof. But the moment we arrived at the port, things started going wrong.

First, the check-in process was a mess. The lines were chaotic, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. After waiting for nearly two hours, we finally reached the counter, only to be told there was an issue with our booking. They claimed we hadn’t completed a required document, though we had proof that we had. While trying to sort it out, we noticed other frustrated passengers dealing with similar problems.

Then came the real shock—security flagged our luggage for an inspection but wouldn’t explain why. We were pulled aside, and our bags were rummaged through while we stood there, embarrassed and confused. The delay caused us to miss our assigned boarding time, and the ship’s staff were anything but helpful.

By this point, we had lost all excitement. The stress and frustration were too much, and we made the painful decision to cancel on the spot. Watching the ship sail away without us was heartbreaking, but after such a terrible experience, we knew we had made the right choice.
