In a significant recruiting development, five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry has committed to the Texas Longhorns, choosing them over prominent programs such as Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn. Terry, hailing from Manchester, Georgia, is ranked as the No. 2 defensive lineman and the No. 9 overall prospect in the 2025 class. 
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 275 pounds, Terry had previously committed to Georgia in January 2023 before a brief commitment to USC in March 2024. His decision to join Texas is considered a recruiting surprise, especially given his Georgia roots.
Terry’s commitment bolsters Texas’s defensive lineup, adding to their impressive 2025 recruiting class. His versatility and explosive playstyle are expected to make an immediate impact for the Longhorns.
