Acaden Lewis, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound point guard from Washington, D.C., has officially signed with the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team. Lewis, a consensus four-star prospect, chose Kentucky over finalists Duke and UConn.
In his junior year at Sidwell Friends School, Lewis averaged 14.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, earning the Gatorade District of Columbia Boys Basketball Player of the Year award. He continued his impressive performance on the Nike EYBL circuit with Team Durant, averaging 16.7 points, 6.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.
Kentucky head coach Mark Pope praised Lewis’s exceptional vision, shooting ability, and leadership qualities, drawing parallels between Lewis and former Wildcats point guard Anthony Epps. Pope highlighted Lewis’s calm demeanor and basketball acumen as key attributes that will contribute to Kentucky’s success.
Lewis’s commitment adds to a strong 2025 recruiting class for Kentucky, which includes five-star combo guard Jasper Johnson and four-star center Malachi Moreno. The Wildcats’ fan base, known as the Big Blue Nation (BBN), has warmly welcomed Lewis, with many expressing their excitement and support for his decision.
Overall, Lewis’s decision to join the Kentucky Wildcats marks a significant milestone in his basketball career, and fans eagerly anticipate his contributions to the team in the upcoming seasons.
