Treading news: NASCAR to hit the streets of Chicago with downtown race..

NASCAR is set to bring high-speed action to downtown Chicago with the Grant Park 165, a NASCAR Cup Series race scheduled for July 6, 2025. This event marks the third consecutive year of NASCAR racing on the Chicago Street Course, a 2.2-mile circuit winding through Grant Park and the city’s bustling streets.

The inaugural race in 2023 introduced a new era for NASCAR, featuring a street race in the heart of Chicago. New Zealand’s Shane van Gisbergen clinched the victory in that debut event. The following year, Alex Bowman emerged as the winner of the Grant Park 165, further solidifying the race’s status as a fan favorite.

The 2025 Grant Park 165 is anticipated to deliver thrilling competition as drivers navigate the intricate layout, which includes 12 turns and scenic views along Lake Michigan. Fans can look forward to an exhilarating weekend of racing, with the NASCAR Xfinity Series also hosting the The Loop 110 on July 5, 2025.

Tickets and additional event information are available through official NASCAR channels. Attendees are encouraged to secure their tickets early to experience the excitement of NASCAR racing in Chicago.
