In a strong show of loyalty and commitment, Coventry City’s star central midfielder has officially turned down a lucrative offer from Norwich City and signed a two-year contract extension with the Sky Blues. Speaking this morning, the 25-year-old midfielder declared, “I am not ready for any other club deals, and I am not leaving Coventry City.”
Norwich City had reportedly tabled a four-year contract offer worth €10,000 per week, with an additional €3,000 in performance-related bonuses. However, the midfielder remained steadfast in his decision, prioritising loyalty and continuity over financial incentives.
“I’ve grown here as a player and a person,” he said in a club statement. “Coventry City is where I feel at home. I believe in the vision the club has, and I want to help take us to the next level.”
Coventry City’s management has praised his commitment, with head coach Mark Robins calling him “a vital part of our core” and “a true leader on and off the pitch.”
This extension is a massive boost for Coventry’s ambitions, as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion in the upcoming Championship season.
