Santiago Giménez, the Mexican striker, has completed a significant transfer from Feyenoord to AC Milan. The deal, reportedly valued at €35 million plus potential future bonuses, includes a resale clause benefiting Feyenoord. Giménez has signed a contract with AC Milan until June 30, 2029. 
During his tenure at Feyenoord, Giménez made a remarkable impact, scoring 65 goals in 105 appearances. His contributions were instrumental in securing the Eredivisie title, the KNVB Cup, and the Johan Cruijff Schaal. His consistent performance, including five goals in as many Champions League group-stage matches, solidified his status as one of Europe’s top forwards.
Giménez’s departure from Feyenoord was met with mixed emotions. He expressed deep affection for the club, stating that Rotterdam became his home after leaving Mexico. Reflecting on his time there, he mentioned, “This will forever remain my first big club in Europe.”
At AC Milan, Giménez is expected to fill the void left by Álvaro Morata’s departure to Galatasaray. His arrival aims to bolster Milan’s attacking options and address the team’s recent struggles in front of goal. Milan’s sporting director, Zlatan Ibrahimović, played a pivotal role in persuading Giménez to join the Italian giants.
