
Mexican striker Santiago Giménez has finalized a transfer from Feyenoord to AC Milan, signing a four-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the Serie A club until June 2029. The transfer fee is reported to be €32 million.
Giménez, 23, began his European career with Feyenoord in July 2022, joining from Mexico’s Cruz Azul. During his time in the Netherlands, he made 105 appearances, scoring 65 goals and providing 14 assists. His contributions were pivotal in Feyenoord’s domestic success, helping the team secure the Eredivisie title, the KNVB Cup, and the Johan Cruyff Shield.
In the Champions League, Giménez’s performances were notable; he scored five goals in the group stage, averaging a goal every 59 minutes. His impressive form caught the attention of AC Milan, leading to his transfer.
Upon joining AC Milan, Giménez expressed heartfelt gratitude to Feyenoord fans, stating: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you gave me, for all your love, all your affection, and all your passion.”
