Patty Gasso, the esteemed head coach of the University of Oklahoma softball team, has been honored as the Big 12 Conference Softball Coach of the Year for the 15th time in her illustrious career. This recognition comes on the heels of leading the Sooners to their unprecedented fourth consecutive national championship in 2024, marking the program’s eighth title under her guidance. 
Gasso’s tenure at Oklahoma, which began in 1995, has been marked by consistent excellence. She has amassed a remarkable record of 1,515β352β2 with the Sooners, establishing herself as the Big 12 Conference’s all-time winningest coach across all sports. Her teams have secured 15 regular-season and nine postseason league titles, underscoring her dominance in collegiate softball.

In February 2025, she was appointed as the head coach for the USA Softball Women’s National Team for the 2025β2028 quadrennial cycle, which includes the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
