Major Hunt Underway for Missing 16-Year-Old Boy in Birmingham
A large-scale search is currently underway for a missing 16-year-old boy last seen in the busy Bullring shopping centre and Birmingham New Street station. The teenager, who has not been named publicly, was last spotted around 3:30 PM on Saturday. His sudden disappearance has sparked concern among family, friends, and the wider community.
West Midlands Police have launched an urgent appeal for information, releasing CCTV images in hopes the public can help trace the boy’s movements. Officers say he was wearing a black hoodie, grey joggers, and white trainers at the time he went missing. He is described as around 5ft 8in tall, with short brown hair and a slim build.
Specialist search teams, including sniffer dogs and drones, have been deployed across key areas of the city. The police have also been working with local transport services to review additional footage and trace his last known route.
“We’re increasingly concerned for his safety,” said Detective Inspector James Cartwright. “If anyone saw him or has any information, no matter how small, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact West Midlands Police immediately via 101 or online.
