Netflix is set to release a highly anticipated documentary that delves into the remarkable history of the Oklahoma Sooners women’s softball program. Under the leadership of head coach Patty Gasso since 1995, the Sooners have become a powerhouse in collegiate softball, achieving unprecedented success. Gasso’s tenure has been marked by an impressive record of 1,395–344–2, with the team securing eight NCAA Women’s College World Series championships in 2000, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. 
The documentary highlights the team’s consistent dominance, including 15 Big 12 Conference regular-season titles and nine Big 12 Conference Tournament championships. Their sustained excellence is further evidenced by 30 NCAA tournament appearances and 17 Women’s College World Series berths.
Central to the Sooners’ success are standout players like catcher Kinzie Hansen and outfielder Jayda Coleman. Hansen’s collegiate career has been distinguished by her powerful hitting and defensive prowess, contributing significantly to the team’s national titles.
