Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has launched its 2025 Europe season with the debut of its newest ship, Norwegian Aqua. The vessel embarked on its maiden voyage from Lisbon to Southampton, marking the beginning of a five-part inaugural series that will conclude with its christening in Miami on April 13, 2025.

As the first ship in NCL’s Prima Plus Class, Norwegian Aqua introduces innovative features designed to enhance the guest experience. A standout attraction is the Aqua Slidecoaster—the world’s first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide—offering two unique ride experiences as the longest and fastest slides at sea. The ship also boasts the Glow Court, a next-generation digital sports complex with an interactive LED floor that transforms from a gaming area by day to a club by night. Additionally, the Aqua Game Zone reimagines NCL’s Galaxy Pavilion, providing entertainment for all ages with retro arcade games, virtual reality challenges, and interactive experiences.

In terms of entertainment, Norwegian Aqua features “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince,” an immersive theatrical concert paying tribute to the legendary artist’s greatest hits. Another highlight is “Elements: The World Expanded,” an enhanced version of NCL’s acclaimed show that blends acrobatics, magic, and stunning visuals inspired by the four elements.

Culinary offerings are equally impressive, with 17 restaurants and 18 bars and lounges. New dining experiences include Sukhothai, NCL’s first Thai specialty restaurant, and Planterie, the brand’s debut plant-based eatery at Indulge Food Hall.

Following its European debut, Norwegian Aqua will offer itineraries to destinations such as the Caribbean, Bermuda, Northern Europe, Transatlantic routes, and the Bahamas. Prices start at £741 per person.
