NATION’S NO. 1 PROSPECT, FIVE-STAR OL JACKSON CANTWELL, COMMITS TO MICHIGAN AFTER GAME-CHANGING VISIT TO ANN ARBOR…
The nation’s No. 1 overall prospect, five-star offensive lineman Jackson Cantwell, has committed to the University of Michigan following a pivotal visit to Ann Arbor. The 6-foot-8, 300-pound standout from Missouri announced his decision on Friday, delivering a massive recruiting win for head coach Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines.
Cantwell’s commitment comes after what sources described as a “game-changing” visit to Michigan’s campus, where he connected deeply with the coaching staff, toured the facilities, and experienced the program’s culture firsthand. Known for his elite athleticism, footwork, and raw power, Cantwell is expected to be a cornerstone of Michigan’s offensive line for years to come.
“This place just felt like home,” Cantwell said. “The energy, the vision Coach Moore has, and the tradition here made it an easy choice.”
His decision sends a strong message nationally about Michigan’s ability to compete for top-tier talent under Moore’s leadership. Cantwell had offers from nearly every major college football program, including Georgia, Alabama, and Ohio State, but the Wolverines won out in the end.
With Cantwell on board, Michigan’s 2025 recruiting class vaults into elite territory, continuing its momentum after back-to-back Big Ten titles and a national championship appearance.
