USC 19 – UCLA 13. That’s my prediction for this Saturday’s game, and I’m standing by it. This year’s edition of the Crosstown Showdown is going to be gritty, emotional, and tightly contested. Both teams have had their share of ups and downs this season, but when it comes to rivalry week, the records go out the window. What matters is pride, heart, and execution.
I believe USC’s defense, which has been under heavy scrutiny all season, steps up in a big way. They’ll force turnovers, make key stops, and keep UCLA’s offense in check. Offensively, USC won’t light up the scoreboard, but they’ll do just enough with efficient drives and clutch field goals. Look for the Trojans to control time of possession and lean into physicality to grind this one out.
UCLA will battle, no doubt. Their defense is stout and their run game is capable. But in a game where every possession counts, I trust USC’s playmakers to rise to the occasion. Special teams could also play a pivotal role.
At the end of the day, this is about more than numbers—it’s about who wants it more. And this Saturday, it’s USC. Fight On!
