Marshall transfer WR Christian Fitzpatrick has signed with Oklahoma State. He has totaled 848 career receiving yards and 7 touchdowns…

Wide receiver Christian Fitzpatrick has officially signed with Oklahoma State, bringing his talent and experience to Stillwater after spending time with multiple programs throughout his college football journey. Most recently at Marshall, Fitzpatrick showcased his abilities as a reliable deep threat and physical presence on the outside. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, he offers an impressive frame that should help him fit right into the Cowboys’ offensive scheme.

Fitzpatrick began his college career at Louisville before transferring to Michigan State, where he had limited opportunities but continued to develop as a receiver. His move to Marshall proved to be his breakout, as he contributed solid production over two seasons. He finished his time with the Thundering Herd with 848 career receiving yards and seven touchdowns, establishing himself as a capable target and a potential difference-maker.

The addition of Fitzpatrick gives Oklahoma State an immediate veteran presence in the wide receiver room. With the Cowboys entering a new season looking to contend in the Big 12, having experienced players who understand the grind of college football will be vital. Fitzpatrick’s size and catch radius make him a particularly valuable asset in red zone situations and on contested catches.

Oklahoma State’s offense, which relies heavily on timing routes and exploiting mismatches, could benefit greatly from Fitzpatrick’s ability to stretch the field and create separation with his physicality. He’ll also bring a level of maturity and leadership that can help younger receivers grow, especially with the turnover that often comes from the transfer portal era.

Head coach Mike Gundy and his staff have placed an emphasis on upgrading their offensive weapons this offseason, and Fitzpatrick’s arrival signals another step in that direction. His versatility means he could line up in multiple spots across the formation, giving the Cowboys flexibility and unpredictability on offense.

While Fitzpatrick hasn’t yet posted superstar-level numbers, his steady improvement and perseverance through multiple transfers show resilience and dedication. Oklahoma State will hope to harness that determination and give him the opportunity to thrive in their system, potentially unlocking his full potential in his final year of eligibility.

With the 2025 season on the horizon, all eyes will be on how quickly Fitzpatrick can acclimate to the new playbook and build chemistry with quarterback Alan Bowman or whoever wins the starting job. If he clicks early, he could become a key contributor and help Oklahoma State make a serious push for a Big 12 title.
