The Kentucky Wildcats are actively exploring the transfer portal to bolster their roster for the upcoming season. Among the top prospects is Dedan Thomas, a standout point guard from UNLV. As a sophomore, Thomas averaged 15.6 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.0 rebounds per game, showcasing his scoring ability and playmaking skills. 
In addition to Thomas, Kentucky has shown interest in several other notable transfers:
Donovan Dent: A 6-foot-2 guard from New Mexico, Dent had an impressive season with averages of 20.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game, coupled with excellent shooting percentages.
Magoon Gwath: A 7-foot center from San Diego State, Gwath earned the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year award as a redshirt freshman, averaging 8.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game.
Lamar Wilkerson: A 6-foot-5 guard from Sam Houston State, Wilkerson had a standout season, averaging 20.5 points per game with a 47% field goal percentage and nearly 45% from three-point range.
Alvaro Folgueiras: A forward from Robert Morris, Folgueiras was named Horizon League Player of the Year, averaging 14.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, shooting 55% from the field and 41% from beyond the arc.
As the Wildcats prepare for their Sweet 16 matchup against the Tennessee Volunteers on March 28, 2025, they continue to actively pursue these top transfer prospects to strengthen their lineup for the future.
