NASCAR announced Tuesday that 2004 Cup Series champion Kurt Busch will be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, alongside racing legends Harry Gant and Ray Hendrick. The three motorsports icons make up the Class of 2025, each recognized for their remarkable impact on the sport.
Kurt Busch, known for his fierce competitiveness and longevity, earned 34 career Cup wins over two decades. His crowning achievement came in 2004 when he won the first-ever NASCAR Cup Series title under the new playoff format. Busch was praised not only for his driving skill but also for his resilience and contributions to multiple teams.
Harry Gant, affectionately known as “Mr. September,” earned 18 Cup Series victories and is remembered for his remarkable winning streak in 1991. His longevity in the sport, racing into his 50s, and his popularity with fans made him a Hall of Fame favorite.
Ray Hendrick, a short-track legend, posthumously enters the Hall through the Pioneer Ballot. He won more than 700 races across various series and was a dominant force on the modified and late model circuits.
The official induction ceremony is scheduled for early 2025 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
