Kentucky guard Collin Chandler officially announces his intentions of joining USC Trojans Men’s Basketball for next year..

Former Kentucky guard Collin Chandler has officially announced his decision to join the USC Trojans for the upcoming college basketball season. The 6-foot-4 combo guard made his intentions public via social media, expressing excitement for a new chapter on the West Coast.

Chandler, a former four-star recruit out of Utah, originally committed to Kentucky but redshirted during his first season while returning from a two-year LDS mission. With his eligibility intact and a renewed focus on his game, Chandler saw the transfer portal as a chance to find a system better suited to his style and development.

“After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided to continue my college career at the University of Southern California,” Chandler wrote. “I’m thankful for my time at Kentucky and for everyone who supported me there. I’m excited for what’s ahead with the Trojans.”

USC, under new head coach Eric Musselman, has been active in the portal, rebuilding its roster after a transitional year. Chandler brings athleticism, shooting range, and high basketball IQ to a backcourt that will look to play with pace and energy.

With this move, Chandler becomes a key addition in what’s shaping up to be a highly competitive Pac-12 swan song season.
