Reports are surfacing about noticeable cost-cutting measures aboard a popular cruise liner, raising concerns among passengers. Guests are expressing frustration over deteriorating onboard conditions, citing issues such as broken or missing furniture—particularly with nearly half of the bar’s high chairs absent and replaced by mismatched plastic garden chairs. Even the once-luxurious outdoor decks and living rooms now feature budget plastic seating, significantly downgrading the aesthetic and comfort of public areas.
Further adding to passenger dissatisfaction is the apparent crew shortage. Reduced staffing levels have led to extended wait times at bars and restaurants, with many guests experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes or more. Table service, once a staple of the cruise experience, is now sporadic or missing entirely in some dining areas. Other notable cutbacks include the absence of fresh flower arrangements, a small but symbolic detail that once added charm to the ship’s ambiance.
While the cruise line has yet to issue an official response, many long-time cruisers are voicing concern that these cost-cutting strategies may be undermining the overall guest experience and damaging the brand’s reputation. Travelers are now questioning whether the value still matches the premium price tag.
