As of March 23, 2025, there is no verified information confirming that defensive lineman Jaylen George has committed to the University of Alabama, turning down offers from the Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Bulldogs.
In fact, reports indicate that George transferred from East Tennessee State University to the University of Nebraska in December 2024. During his tenure at East Tennessee State, George distinguished himself as a formidable defensive presence, earning first-team All-Southern Conference honors in 2024.
He recorded 33 tackles, including six for loss, and half a sack that season. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 265 pounds, George has two years of eligibility remaining and is anticipated to make a significant impact on Nebraska’s defensive line. His decision to join the Cornhuskers adds depth and experience to their defense, aligning with Nebraska’s strategic efforts to bolster their roster through the transfer portal. Therefore, any reports suggesting George’s commitment to Alabama over other SEC programs appear to be unsubstantiated.
