Netflix is set to score big with hockey fans as it prepares to release a compelling new sports documentary centered on the Vancouver Canucks and their star forward, Brock Boeser. Titled IT IS TIME, the documentary promises an in-depth look at the Canucks’ resurgence as a Western Conference powerhouse, while offering a deeply personal narrative of Boeser’s journey—both on and off the ice.
Boeser, known for his lethal shot and perseverance through adversity, serves as the emotional core of the film. Viewers will gain access to never-before-seen locker room footage, exclusive interviews with teammates and coaches, and candid moments from Boeser’s personal life, including his battles with injuries and the loss of his father, Duke Boeser.
Directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Michael Tucker, IT IS TIME is more than a sports story—it’s a portrait of resilience, leadership, and the pressure of chasing a Stanley Cup in a hockey-obsessed city. The series also highlights the culture and evolution of the Canucks organization under head coach Rick Tocchet.
The documentary is scheduled for global release on Netflix in Fall 2025, coinciding with the start of the NHL season. Hockey fans, mark your calendars.
