At the University of Michigan’s Spring Commencement for the Class of 2025, legendary New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter delivered a powerful message to graduates: “How you approached today, and every day, is a choice — your choice. Your life will ultimately be framed by the choices you make.” Speaking in front of a packed Michigan Stadium, Jeter encouraged students to embrace responsibility, remain true to themselves, and define success on their own terms.
The ceremony was filled with maize-and-blue pride, with graduates donning caps and gowns, families cheering from the stands, and the Michigan Marching Band adding to the festive atmosphere.
