The Seminoles concluded their season with a 23-8 record, earning their 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Brooke Wyckoff. Despite not clinching the ACC Tournament title, FSU had a strong season, setting a school record for multiple 100-point games and leading the nation in scoring. Notable players include junior guard Ta’Niya Latson and senior Makayla Timpson, both recognized for their stellar performances.

George Mason University, boasting a 27-5 record, earned an automatic bid after winning the Atlantic 10 Conference, marking their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. The Patriots will enter the tournament as a No. 11 seed, taking on the No. 6 seed Florida State Seminoles at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on the campus of LSU.

The winner of this matchup will advance to face either LSU or San Diego State in the next round.
