Elite Penn State QB leads 2025 early Heisman Nominees ahead Notre Dame’s RB Jeremiyah Love, Texas’ QB Arch Manning, South Carolina’s QB LaNorris Sellers and Alabama’s WR Ryan Williams..

Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is emerging as one of the top early Heisman contenders for the 2025 season. After leading the Nittany Lions to the College Football Playoff last year, Allar is expected to take another step forward in his final season. His strong arm and leadership have placed him among the top candidates, with betting odds of 16/1, tied with South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers, Tennessee’s Nico Iamaleava, and others.

Allar leads a competitive Heisman race that includes Texas quarterback Arch Manning, who is currently the favorite (6/1), LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier (9/1), and Clemson’s Cade Klubnik (12/1). Beyond quarterbacks, standout playmakers like Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love and Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams are also in the mix.

Penn State’s offense is expected to be strong in 2025, and if Allar continues to improve, he could challenge for the award. However, he will need a standout season to surpass high-profile players like Manning and Nussmeier, who are positioned on championship-contending tea
