Penn State’s wrestling team clinched its ninth Big Ten Championship under head coach Cael Sanderson, amassing a school-record 181.5 points to secure the 2025 title. This victory marks their third consecutive conference crown.

 

Five Nittany Lions secured individual titles: Luke Lilledahl (125 lbs), Tyler Kasak (157 lbs), Mitchell Mesenbrink (165 lbs), Levi Haines (174 lbs), and Carter Starocci (184 lbs). Starocci was honored as the Big Ten Wrestler of the Year, while Sanderson received his ninth Big Ten Coach of the Year award.

 

Notably, Minnesota’s Gable Steveson was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Championships. This achievement underscores Sanderson’s leadership and the team’s dominance in collegiate wrestling.
