As of now, there is no official confirmation that Netflix will release a documentary on the Collingwood Football Club and its head coach, Craig McRae. However, in February 2024, the Collingwood Football Club, in collaboration with AFL Studios, released an 83-minute documentary titled “Take the Steps.” This film provides an intimate look into Collingwood’s triumphant 2023 AFL season, culminating in their premiership victory. 
“Take the Steps” focuses on four central figures: Head Coach Craig McRae, Captain Darcy Moore, young star Nick Daicos, and veteran Scott Pendlebury. Through personal interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, the documentary showcases the team’s journey, highlighting their challenges, strategies, and the camaraderie that propelled them to success.
The film premiered on February 28, 2024, at Hoyts Cinemas across Australia. While it received positive reviews for its insightful portrayal of the team’s dynamics and McRae’s innovative coaching approach, there is no indication that it is available on Netflix or any other streaming platform at this time.
