BREAKING News:Michigan Football picks up a commitment from one of their top targets..
In a major recruiting win, the Michigan Wolverines have secured a commitment from one of their top 2025 targets, four-star defensive back Jamari Watson. The Michigan native made his decision official on Monday afternoon, giving Jim Harbaugh’s staff a major boost on the recruiting trail.
Watson, ranked among the top 100 players nationally and the No. 7 cornerback in the class, chose Michigan over offers from Ohio State, Alabama, and LSU. Standing at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, he brings elite speed, instinctive coverage skills, and a physical presence in the secondary. His commitment marks the Wolverines’ fourth addition to their 2025 defensive class, which is shaping up to be one of the strongest in the Big Ten.
“I’ve always dreamed of wearing the Maize and Blue,” Watson said in his announcement. “It feels like home, and I believe in what Coach Harbaugh is building.”
Watson’s pledge continues a strong momentum for Michigan on the recruiting trail, as they look to capitalize on their recent College Football Playoff success. With Watson locked in, the Wolverines are expected to turn their focus toward bolstering their offensive line and quarterback targets next.
