Breaking news:Major Trade Between Maple Leafs and Flyers Leaked…full details👉👉

In a significant NHL trade finalized on March 7, 2025, the Philadelphia Flyers sent veteran forward Scott Laughton to the Toronto Maple Leafs. In return, the Flyers received a first-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft and 21-year-old Russian prospect Nikita Grebenkin. Additionally, the Flyers included a fourth-round pick in 2025 and a sixth-round pick in 2027, while retaining 50% of Laughton’s remaining contract.

Laughton, 30, was drafted 20th overall by the Flyers in 2012 and has been a mainstay in Philadelphia for 12 seasons. This season, he has recorded 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) in 60 games, bringing his career totals to 265 points (106 goals, 159 assists) over 661 games. Known for his versatility and leadership, Laughton has been a key contributor in various roles, including special teams.

Grebenkin, a 2022 fifth-round pick, has spent most of this season with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies, tallying nine goals and 12 assists in 39 games. He also appeared in seven NHL games for the Maple Leafs earlier this season.

This trade underscores the Flyers’ commitment to rebuilding and acquiring future assets, while the Maple Leafs aim to bolster their lineup for a deep playoff run by adding Laughton’s experience and two-way play.
