In a sensational move, Wigan Warriors legend and former dual-code international Jason Robinson has returned to the club as the new assistant manager. The former England rugby union and Wigan rugby league star has signed a major deal, marking his first official coaching role with the club where he made his name.

 

Robinson, who played over 300 games for Wigan in the 1990s and won multiple titles, is widely regarded as one of the greatest cross-code players in history. His return is seen as a statement of ambition by the club as they look to build on recent successes and further cement their dominance in Super League.

 

Speaking on his return, Robinson said, ā€œWigan is in my blood. This club gave me everything, and now I’m honoured to give back. I’m excited to work alongside Matt Peet and help develop the next generation of talent.ā€
