BREAKING NEWS: Tennessee Vols has officially announced.. Full details 👇🏿👇🏿

As of February 25, 2025, the Tennessee Volunteers have made several significant announcements:

Recruitment News: Five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. has committed to the University of Tennessee. Sanders, a top-five overall player from Charlotte’s Providence Day School, made his announcement on the Paul Finebaum Show, highlighting Tennessee’s persistent recruitment efforts since his freshman year. He expressed enthusiasm about joining a strong incoming class, including a talented quarterback and defensive core. Sanders is expected to make an immediate impact on the offensive line.

Athletic Department Initiatives: The university has introduced a 10% “talent fee” for the 2025 football season ticket renewals. This fee aims to fund athlete payments and enhance recruitment efforts. Additionally, a 4.5% increase in ticket prices has been implemented. These measures are in response to a $2.78 billion settlement requiring schools to allocate up to $21 million annually to athletes. Tennessee is among the first institutions to adopt such a fee, potentially setting a precedent for other schools.

Women’s Basketball Update: Head coach Kim Caldwell is anticipating the birth of her first child. Despite the personal milestone, Caldwell remains dedicated to leading the Lady Vols through a challenging Southeastern Conference schedule. She has plans in place to balance her coaching responsibilities with motherhood and aims to return promptly after the birth. Caldwell’s commitment reflects her determination to restore the Lady Vols to their historic prominence.
