The USC Trojans men’s basketball team landed a significant addition with the commitment of Koby Brea, a standout transfer who is expected to bring experience, shooting, and leadership to the roster. Brea, formerly of Dayton, was widely regarded as one of the best perimeter shooters in college basketball, and his decision to join the Trojans adds a valuable weapon to their offensive arsenal.
Brea averaged 11.1 points per game last season while shooting an impressive 49.8% from three-point range—ranking among the nation’s elite. His ability to stretch the floor and score efficiently makes him a perfect fit for USC’s system, especially as the team enters a new era under head coach Eric Musselman. Brea’s veteran presence will be crucial as the Trojans look to compete at a high level in the Big Ten following their move from the Pac-12.
The 6-foot-6 guard brings not only offensive skill but also maturity and a strong work ethic, qualities Musselman has praised throughout his coaching career. With Brea on board, USC adds a dynamic piece to its backcourt and solidifies its position as a serious contender heading into the 2025 season.
