USC Trojans head football coach Lincoln Riley is making headlines off the field with a powerful act of generosity. Riley has invested $3.6 million of his own funds to convert a residential property near the University of Southern California campus into a transitional shelter for homeless youth. The initiative, named Trojans Youth Haven, will serve as a safe and supportive space for at-risk young people aged 16–24.

The shelter will offer more than just a roof—it will provide access to counseling, job training, academic support, and mentorship from USC student volunteers and alumni. Riley, who has spoken out about the importance of giving back to the community, said the project reflects his commitment to helping young people find stability and opportunity.

“This city has given me so much,” Riley stated. “This is about making sure every young person, no matter their background, gets a shot at a better future.”

Construction is already underway, with the shelter expected to open in early 2026. Riley’s bold move is already inspiring other members of the USC community to contribute, signaling a broader movement toward community-driven change in Los Angeles.
