Collingwood Football Club has strategically bolstered its squad ahead of the 2025 AFL season by securing several promising young talents. Notably, 19-year-old key forward Charlie West, standing at 194cm, was acquired with pick 50 in the National Draft.
West has quickly impressed teammates with his size and power during pre-season training, though he acknowledges the need to enhance his endurance to secure a spot in the senior lineup. Drawing inspiration from Carlton’s Charlie Curnow, West aims to emulate his style of play. His prior experience includes two senior SANFL games with Woodville-West Torrens, providing a solid foundation as he adapts to the AFL’s demands.

Harry Perryman joined from GWS Giants as a free agent, bringing versatility and experience to the midfield.
Dan Houston was acquired from Port Adelaide via trade, known for his exceptional kicking skills and ability to take strategic risks on the field.
Tim Membrey, formerly with St Kilda, signed on as a delisted free agent, expected to add depth to the forward line.
Joel Cochran, selected with pick 47 in the National Draft from the Sydney Swans Academy, is anticipated to develop into a key player in the coming seasons.
Will Hayes, picked at 56 from Claremont WAFL, offers potential growth in the midfield.
Oleg Markov, re-selected with pick 8 in the Rookie Draft, returns to Collingwood, bringing speed and defensive prowess.
