NRL star Nathan Cleary has announced a groundbreaking $5 million medical outreach program set to take place from July 1โ11, 2025. The initiative will deliver life-changing healthcare services to underprivileged communities in Papua New Guinea and remote areas of Australia. Partnering with international medical teams, Cleary’s outreach aims to provide over 500 individuals with essential surgeries, health screenings, and free medications.
The program, spearheaded by the Nathan Cleary Foundation, will focus on regions with limited access to medical facilities. Services will include eye surgeries, dental care, maternal health support, and chronic disease treatment. Mobile clinics and pop-up medical camps will be deployed to ensure reach in isolated areas.
โThis is about giving people hope and access to the care they deserve,โ Cleary said. โItโs a privilege to use my platform to bring positive change.โ
The outreach will also train local healthcare workers to ensure sustainable impact. With backing from medical NGOs and government health departments, the program is poised to be one of the largest athlete-led humanitarian health efforts in the region. Community leaders have praised the initiative as โtransformativeโ and a model for future cross-border medical aid.
