In a stunning revelation, New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has confirmed that defensive tackle Milton Williams turned down a jaw-dropping $204 million offer from the Kansas City Chiefs. Vrabel, speaking candidly during a press conference, praised Williams’ decision as a rare example of unwavering loyalty in today’s NFL.
“Milton’s choice speaks volumes about his character and commitment to this organization,” Vrabel said. “He’s not just here for the paycheck—he believes in what we’re building.”
The Chiefs’ offer, which would’ve made Williams one of the highest-paid defensive players in league history, came after a breakout season where he recorded double-digit sacks and was instrumental in New England’s defensive resurgence. Yet, Williams chose to stay in Foxborough, reportedly taking significantly less money to remain with the team and coach who helped shape his career.
“This is bigger than money for me,” Williams told reporters. “I believe in Coach Vrabel, in my teammates, and in what we’re building here. That’s worth more than any contract.”
Williams’ loyalty has quickly made him a fan favorite and solidified his place as a cornerstone of the Patriots’ future.
