Birmingham City have reaffirmed their commitment to investing in the squad, with the club’s hierarchy emphasizing that Knighthead Capital’s long-term goal is clear: to return the Blues to the top tier of English football. Following the club’s relegation scare and ongoing rebuild, the owners have pledged further financial backing in the upcoming transfer windows.

Knighthead Capital, who took control of the club in 2023, have already made significant infrastructural improvements and continue to stress their ambition of sustainable growth both on and off the pitch. Speaking on behalf of the ownership, CEO Garry Cook highlighted that transfer investments will be “strategic and focused on quality,” rather than overspending without clear planning.

The club is expected to support manager Tony Mowbray—currently on medical leave—with signings that align with his tactical vision, ensuring a stronger and more competitive squad. The statement comes as a reassurance to fans, many of whom are eager to see tangible progress and a return to the Premier League.

Birmingham’s ownership remains confident in their blueprint, stating, “Our goal is clear: build a team capable of competing at the highest level, while ensuring long-term success and financial stability.”
