BREAKING: Tennessee Volunteers to Erect Statue at Neyland Stadium Honoring Peyton Manning’s Legacy

In a historic tribute, the University of Tennessee announced plans to erect a statue of legendary quarterback Peyton Manning outside Neyland Stadium. This long-anticipated honor celebrates Manning’s enduring impact on Tennessee football and his role in elevating the program to national prominence.

Manning, who played for the Volunteers from 1994 to 1997, remains one of the most iconic figures in college football history. During his collegiate career, he set numerous school records, won countless accolades, and led Tennessee to an SEC Championship appearance. His leadership, poise, and performance on the field helped shape the identity of the Volunteers for decades to come.

The statue, expected to be unveiled before the 2025 season, will serve as a permanent reminder of Manning’s contributions—not only as a player, but as a proud ambassador for the university. Athletic Director Danny White stated, “Peyton’s excellence embodies what it means to be a Volunteer. His legacy continues to inspire new generations.”

Fans, alumni, and former teammates are expected to gather in Knoxville for the unveiling, marking a celebratory moment in Volunteer history. The tribute solidifies Manning’s place among the all-time greats of Tennessee athletics.
