Treading news: Two NASCAR teams not returning after missing the Daytona 500..

Two NASCAR teams, Beard Motorsports and Garage 66 (formerly MBM Motorsports), have announced they will not be returning after failing to qualify for the 2025 Daytona 500.

Beard Motorsports, with driver Anthony Alfredo in the No. 62 Chevrolet, failed to make the race after missing last year as well. The team has struggled to qualify for back-to-back Daytona 500s since 2019-2020. However, they plan to return for the two Talladega Superspeedway races and the summer Daytona event.

Garage 66 faced an additional setback when NASCAR ruled that their initial driver, Mike Wallace, was ineligible, forcing them to replace him with Chandler Smith. Unfortunately, Smith failed to qualify, marking the team’s fifth consecutive Daytona 500 DNQ. Garage 66 still aims to compete in approximately 20 races in the 2025 season, following their 13-race return last year.

Meanwhile, NY Racing and Live Fast Motorsports, which also failed to qualify, will continue competing in NASCAR events, including the upcoming Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Spee

dway.
