In a remarkable recruiting coup, the Florida Gators have secured a commitment from Myles Johnson, a highly sought-after linebacker from T.R. Miller High School in Brewton, Alabama. Johnson, who had previously committed to the University of Alabama, announced his decision to join the Gators in July 2024, citing a strong connection with Florida’s coaching staff and a renewed sense of opportunity in Gainesville. 
Standing at 6-foot and weighing 213 pounds, Johnson is a consensus four-star recruit, recognized for his exceptional on-field performance and leadership qualities. During his high school career, he amassed 3,342 all-purpose yards, 53 touchdowns, and 226 tackles, showcasing his versatility and athleticism. His commitment to Florida not only bolsters the Gators’ defensive lineup but also signifies a strategic victory in the competitive landscape of college football recruiting.
