Atlantic Ocean, April 18, 2025 – A devastating maritime disaster struck earlier today as the luxury cruise liner Ocean Visita capsized in the Atlantic Ocean, with more than 400 passengers and crew members feared dead. The ship, which departed from Lisbon en route to New York, sent a distress signal around 4:30 AM GMT before losing contact.

Rescue operations are underway, with multiple naval and air units from several countries responding to the scene. Eyewitnesses aboard nearby vessels reported rough seas and strong winds during the time of the incident. Survivors pulled from the water described a “sudden, violent tilt” before the vessel overturned.
