Azamara has officially welcomed its newest ship, Azamara Onward, into its fleet following a celebratory naming ceremony held in the glamorous port of Monte Carlo. The event marked a significant milestone for the boutique cruise line, which is renowned for its destination-focused voyages and immersive travel experiences.

The ceremony, steeped in maritime tradition, included the customary breaking of a champagne bottle against the ship’s hull. Godmother Beth Santos, founder of Wanderful, a global women’s travel community, bestowed her blessings on the vessel. Executives, guests, and media gathered to witness the ship’s debut and celebrate the company’s continued growth.
Formerly sailing under a different name, Azamara Onward has undergone extensive refurbishment to align with Azamara’s signature style and focus on intimate luxury. The ship will now offer culturally rich itineraries across Europe and beyond, featuring longer port stays and overnight visits—hallmarks of the Azamara experience.
Carol Cabezas, President of Azamara, expressed excitement about the ship’s future: “Azamara Onward embodies our brand’s commitment to deeper travel experiences.” With this addition, Azamara now operates a four-ship fleet, further expanding its ability to deliver unique voyages to some of the world’s most intriguing destinations.
