In a moment long-awaited by fans and footy pundits alike, former Collingwood superstar Dane Swan has officially been inducted into the Collingwood Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class. This prestigious honour now sees Swan immortalised at the club he loyally represented throughout his decorated career, cementing his legendary status among the Magpie faithful. The induction comes just months after he was named in the AFL Hall of Fame in 2024, marking his second monumental recognition in as many years.
A Brownlow Medallist in 2011, a five-time All-Australian, and a key figure in Collingwood’s 2010 premiership-winning side, Swan’s illustrious career was defined by his consistency, toughness, and brilliance through the midfield. He played 258 games and booted 211 goals, etching his name into the club’s rich history.
Speaking at the ceremony, Swan remained characteristically humble, thanking his teammates, coaches, and the fans who supported him over the years. “It’s a huge honour to be recognised by the club I love,” he said.
Now a dual Hall of Famer, Swan’s legacy as one of the most iconic modern-day Pies is undeniable—a true champion, both on and off the field.
