In a significant development for Penn State’s football program, the Nittany Lions have secured the commitment of four-star tight end Andrew Olesh, marking a pivotal addition to their 2025 recruiting class. Olesh, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 215 pounds, hails from Center Valley, Pennsylvania, and had previously been committed to Michigan since July 2024. However, he flipped his commitment to Penn State, expressing his desire to “bring home a National Championship to Penn State” and emphasizing that “the best in PA stay in PA.”

Olesh’s decision is particularly impactful as he is considered the top recruit in Pennsylvania for the 2025 class. His commitment enhances Penn State’s standing in the national recruiting landscape, with the class currently ranked 17th overall by 247Sports. This move also strengthens the Nittany Lions’ tight end roster, joining other notable recruits such as four-star Matt Henderson and three-star Brian Kortovich.

Head coach James Franklin’s relentless pursuit of top Pennsylvania talent continues to pay dividends, as Olesh’s commitment underscores the program’s growing influence within the state. With Olesh on board, Penn State aims to bolster its offensive capabilities in the upcoming seasons, aligning with the program’s tradition of developing standout tight ends who make significant impacts at the collegiate level.
