Florida State University (FSU) head football coach Mike Norvell has announced that three additional players will miss the remainder of spring camp due to injuries. The affected players are linebacker Caleb LaVallee, defensive lineman Daniel Lyons, and offensive lineman Jacob Rizy. Norvell emphasized that these injuries are not expected to impact the players’ availability for the upcoming fall season, as they are anticipated to resume training during the summer months.
This development adds to a series of spring injuries affecting key contributors. Previously, defensive backs Conrad Hussey and Shyheim Brown, along with defensive lineman Jayson Jenkins, were reported to be sidelined for the entirety of the spring. Additionally, offensive linemen Gunnar Hansen and Jaylen Early are expected to miss the initial phase of spring practices but are projected to return later in the period.
Despite these setbacks, Coach Norvell remains optimistic about the team’s depth and resilience. He expressed confidence that the affected players will be ready for the fall season and highlighted the importance of other team members stepping up during their absence.
