
Penn State’s wrestling team secured its fourth consecutive NCAA Division I Men’s Wrestling Championship on March 22, 2025, at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, marking the 13th national title in the program’s history.
The Nittany Lions clinched the team title early, even before the championship finals began, showcasing their dominance throughout the tournament.
A historic highlight of the event was Carter Starocci’s achievement; he became the first wrestler to win five individual NCAA titles, earning the Most Outstanding Wrestler award for his performance.
Under head coach Cael Sanderson, Penn State continues to solidify its legacy in collegiate wrestling, having won 12 of the last 15 NCAA championships.
