Oklahoma Sooners softball standout and SEC Co-Player of the Week, Tia Milloy, has reportedly declined a $1.5 million Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) offer from the Texas Longhorns, affirming her commitment to the University of Oklahoma. Milloy stated, “My heart is in Oklahoma.”

A freshman utility player from Redmond High School in Washington, Milloy has quickly made an impact on the Sooners’ roster. Her athletic prowess is rooted in a family of accomplished athletes; her father, Lawyer Milloy, had a 15-season NFL career and was a Super Bowl champion, while her mother, Claudine, was a two-time All-American track and field athlete at Washington. Tia’s sisters, Amirah and Kiki, have also excelled in collegiate softball at Washington and Tennessee, respectively.

Milloy’s decision to remain with Oklahoma underscores her dedication to the program and its competitive environment. She has expressed appreciation for the team’s culture, noting that the internal competition pushes her to be the best player and person she can be.

The Sooners continue their season with an upcoming game against the UConn Huskies on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:30 PM PDT.
