NASCAR has suspended driver Bubba Wallace for one race following an intentional on-track incident during the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Wallace’s actions, which included spinning fellow driver Kyle Larson and engaging in a physical confrontation post-race, were deemed detrimental to the sport’s integrity.

 

After the race, Wallace approached Larson’s car and shoved him multiple times, an act that NASCAR officials described as intentional and dangerous. Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR’s Chief Operating Officer, stated that the incident not only endangered Wallace and Larson but also posed risks to other competitors on the track.

 

In response to the suspension, Wallace expressed remorse for his actions, acknowledging that his behavior did not align with the values of his team, 23XI Racing, or the broader NASCAR community. He apologized to NASCAR, fans, and fellow competitors for his conduct.
