Netflix is set to release a documentary series titled “We Are Wigan Warriors,” offering an intimate look into the team’s historic Grand Slam-winning 2024 season. The three-part series, produced by JAM Films, provides behind-the-scenes access to the players, coaches, and staff, capturing moments of success, challenges, and personal stories that defined the season.
While the documentary premiered on Sky Sports Action in February 2025, airing across three nights—Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th, and Friday 28th February—Netflix’s upcoming release will make it accessible to a broader audience. The series delves into the daily lives and experiences of the Wigan Warriors, highlighting the dedication and camaraderie that propelled them to victory.
Wigan Warriors Chief Executive, Kris Radlinski, expressed pride in the team’s achievements, stating that the documentary not only showcases on-field triumphs but also the hard work and sacrifices made off the field. He emphasized that viewers will gain “raw, real, and unrestricted access to the heart and soul” of the club.
As of now, Netflix has not announced an official release date for the documentary. However, fans can anticipate its arrival in the near future, offering an in-depth perspective on one of the most remarkable seasons in the club’s history.
