In fact, Bosa signed a five-year, $170 million extension with the 49ers in September 2023, making him the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history at that time. This contract includes $122.5 million in guaranteed money and a $50 million signing bonus. Bosa’s performance has been stellar, earning him the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2022.
There have been recent discussions about the possibility of his brother, Joey Bosa, joining the 49ers after his release from the Chargers, but no official moves have been made. Therefore, reports of Nick Bosa rejecting a contract from the 49ers to join the Bears are unfounded.
